  • Paige Fegan, Psy.D., M.Ed.

    Licensed Clinical Psychologist

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with children 10 and older,

adolescents, and adults. I enjoy helping clients navigate depression and anxiety, life transitions,

and family/relationship issues. I have a background in school psychology and extensive

experience treating mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, academic and learning challenges,

behavioral issues, and autism. Many of my clients use their sessions to explore their

neurodivergence and to better understand what it means for the ways they navigate the world and

relationships. I love supporting clients as they achieve goals, make challenging decisions, and

gain greater levels of self-awareness. My background in psychological/psychoeducational

assessment influences my work; however, I am not currently conducting evaluations.

While pursuing my doctorate in clinical psychology, I concurrently completed a master’s degree

(M.Ed.) in human sexuality education. This expertise informs my clinical practice, particularly

around sensitive issues related to sexual health and identity through the lifespan. Many of my

clients are teens and young adults exploring aspects of their sexual and gender identity. I am an

LGBTQ+-affirming therapist, and I celebrate all identities.

In therapy sessions, I strive to be authentic, empathic, and client-centered, integrating therapeutic

approaches including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, family systems, and positive

psychology. My approach is collaborative and active. I’d love to hear from you, so please reach

out so we can get started!

  • Jennifer Trainor

Licensed Professional Counselor, EdS (she, her)

Hello! My name is Jennifer Trainor, LPC, Ed.S. and I’m an eclectic psychotherapist licensed in the state of Virginia. I

have worked in private practice, treatment homes and K-12 schools in Washington D.C., Virginia and California for

the past 16 years. I am kind, direct, and have a deep love for humanity. I work with children, adolescents, adults

and families. My practice, Mental Health Counseling and Consulting, LCC (MHCC) seeks to reframe and

revolutionize the perceptions of mental health awareness, education, counseling and consulting services from that

of an exclusively pathology driven state, to one of basic human rights and an understanding of the central nervous

system. We feel this is important for a few reasons. First, MHCC celebrates diversity and inclusion, is LGBTQIA

Friendly, Sex Positive and Neurodiversity Affirming. We have expertise in depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life

transitions and trauma. Secondly, we educate and empower you to learn skills and tools in a proactive versus

reactive state, and then show you how to share what you’ve learned with friends, family, co-workers, etc. Third,

MHCC asserts that you are your own expert, and therefore your own best healer, and we serve to companion you

and offer you support using a myriad of evidence-based interventions to help you surpass your goals. We pull from

traditional psychology, sports psychology and the expressive arts to ensure your unique needs are met and that

you feel confident in choosing which techniques will work best for you, regardless of the situation you face. Lastly,

MHCC is a collaborative, safe and trauma-informed practice, well versed in complex traumatic post stress disorder,

and therefore we won’t confuse or misdiagnose internal and external presenting symptoms. We always bring in a

somatic component to our work together, so you become well versed in how to recognize dysregulation within,

and how to re-regulate your body into a parasympathetic state. Our work can be done in person, on “walk and

    talks” or over zoom.
